DuoSpoon™ is a creative oral motor tool, which is actually two tools in one, for children who need sensory support. It is a mouth exploration tool which can be a bridge into purees and form purees to textured foods for children who have sensory challenges. Duo Spoon™ can then be used as an aid to help increase upper lip activity in food removal.

It is made of FDA approved food-grade, very flexible yet sturdy silicone. Children love the playful texture and friendly flexibility.

Both ends of the DuoSpoon™ provide sensory variation during mouth exploration and as food is taken from the bowl. The sensation bumps provide a bridge to texture acceptance. Once the child likes mouthing this end, food tastes can be introduced. The sensation bumps can turn a simple puree into a texture experience. With the DuoSpoon ™ the child can be offered a favorite puree from a spoon which has the texture built it!

The speed bump end provides a gentle wake up as the upper lip moves across the spoon bowl. This additional sensory input can alert the lip to increase central lip activity during oral motor treatment. Different food textures from simple purees to more resistive sticky foods or crumbs can further vary the child's experience with this end of the DuoSpoon™.
